The Champaign County Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC), a division of the Champaign County Emegency Management Agency (EMA), is designated to serve as a community forum for issues relating to preparedness for emergencies involving hazardous materials. It is the Agency that receives the required Tier II reports on hazardous materials from industry.
The LEPC welcomes input from a broad sector to better plan and deal with incidents involving hazardous materials. This input from first responders, health care providers, the transportation sector and industry help provide essential information necessary to protect the citizens of Champaign County as well as the environment.
